[ SWUnleashed Rules ] { Characters }
A- Hit Points
|
- Hit points are the life of your character, its health. They are what is taken from you when you take damage, and
therefore the basis on which all combat hinges.
- Each Race will have its own starting HP, from there it will be modified by level
Starting HP table
| Race | Starting HP |
| Bothan | 105 |
| Defel | 120 |
| Falleen | 95 |
| Gand | 130 |
| Human | 100 |
| Hutt | 200 |
| Mon Calamari | 110 |
| Rodian | 90 |
| Twi'lek | 80 |
| Wookiee | 150 |
- HP is then calculated at each level up by the formula New HP= Current HP + Race Bonus + (strength skill
level *2) - Any Age Penalties
|
B- Restoring Hit Points
|
- When you lose HP, you do not lose them forever. Your character can heal naturally, through the use of
a medical item, or a Force skill.
- Each Race will gain HP at different rates, playing to their strengths as characters. For an
example, a Wookiee typically has much more HP than a Human.
|
C- Race Bonus
|
- The bonus HP per level is as follows:
Race HP Bonus Table
| Race | Bonus |
| Bothan | +2 |
| Defel | +5 |
| Falleen | 3 |
| Gand | +6 |
| Human | +8 |
| Hutt | +15 |
| Mon Calamari | +7 |
| Rodian | +5 |
| Twi'lek | +4 |
| Wookiee | +12 |
- These bonuses will be added to the HP gained per level in the above rules.
|
D- Injuries
|
- One cannot expect to perform at peak performance as they take more and more damage. For instance, a person at 10% HP
will never be capable to fight as well as someone at full HP.
- When you drop to 60% of maximum HP, you receive a –1 penalty in all skills. Similarly at 40% HP, you’ll receive a –2
penalty, and at 20%, a –3 penalty.
- These penalties are not permanent however, if your HP rises over the required 60% HP mark, all penalties disappear,
the same relates to the other levels of injury.
- These effects may be ignored Force Sensitive Player with sufficient expertise in Reduce injury. See force rules for
details.
|
E- Age Penalties
|
- No matter how much we may try to fight it, we will always get older. Not only does this apply to us in the outside
world, it applies to our characters in SWU as well.
- We all know that older people cannot do the things that the younger, more youthful people are capable of, they are
limited by their age. This is also true to the amount of HP they will gain. At certain ages, a character will begin to
receive less HP per level, this is however dependant upon that character’s race.
- Middle-aged characters will suffer a 5 HP penalty and old characters will suffer a 10 HP penalty. This penalty is
incurred when a character's HP is recalculated during the leveling process.
|
F- Unconsciousness
|
- A character is rendered unconscious under one of two conditions:
- Their HP is reduced to 10
- An ionic weapon doing more than 15 ionic damage to them hits the player.
- The character may be brought out of an unconscious state by:
- HP must rise to 20
- Medical items are used to bring them around
- The Return to Consciousness force skill is used on them
|
G- Death
|
- A character is killed in one of three scenarios:
- When its HP is reduced to zero.
- It is hit with a weapon that does more than 35 ionic damage to it, thereby
overloading its nervous systems and shutting it down.
- The ship it is on is destroyed and lacks escape pod.
- When a character dies, it is permanently dead and cannot be revived. All personal
belongings are left at their locations and can be picked up and owned by anyone who finds them.
Everything owned by a faction is left at its location at must be recovered by that faction.
Faction owned possessions can be stolen from that faction by anyone; the faction will
recieve a message that it was stolen and will lose it from its inventory.
