Explanation of Stats
|
- A droid's locomotion is how the droid gets around. There are three types- legged, wheeled, hovering.
Legged droids cannot traverse ocean, gas, or volcano terrains. Wheeled droids cannot travel through swamp, ocean,
gas or volcano terrains. Hovering droids can travel on any terrain aside from ocean, volcano, and gas.
- The base and maximum armor is the basic amount of armor that the droid comes with
and the total amount of armor the droid may have. Additional units may be added on for 100
credits each.
- The weight of a droid tells approximately how heavy it is, and is used for both the base price
of the droid and its size as cargo. It also determines how easy it is to pick up on sensors.
- Each droid type originally comes in only one size. As R&D expands the knowledge of droids,
they may become larger or smaller as needed.
- The vibrobrain determines the amount of skill space that the droid will have, and is used in the base price of the droid.
- Each droid type cannot have a vibrobrain higher than a certain level,
otherwise it will not be able to handle the workload. This number is the vibrobrain max.
- Functions are the actions that a droid is able to do. A droid will
have numerous functions, and each of these functions will have a level. The
higher the level, the easier and faster it is for the droid to do that function.
However, higher skills come at a price: they take up more skill space on the
droid's vibrobrain. Droids can perform most skills that a character can.
- Droids don't last forever, and can break down at any given time. With proper
maintenance, however, a droid can last indefinately. Droids lose armor by doing
actions, moving, or being in combat. Different actions will run down armor at different rates.
- A droid can be repaired by taking it to any droid factory. It will cost 500 credits
per lost point armor to repair. It takes 1 hour to repair each lost point of armor, but
this time can be reduced by 5 minutes for each skill level a character has in the
Droid Repair skill.
- If a droid's armor drops to 0, it is permanently disabled and cannot be
repaired. If this occurs, any modules on the droid are also permanently disabled
and are lost.
