Explanation of Stats
|
- Certain vehicles can only be built by certain factions at the beginning of the game. The 'Built By' field
explains which factions may build each vehicle.
- Some vehicles have shields. Shields take damage first before the hull does. When a vehicles's shields are
at 25% or lower, there is a random chance that weapons fire will pass through a hole in the shields and hit
the hull.
- The crew is the number of NPC's that must be hired to run the vehicle. The crew number includes both
pilots and gunners.
- The number of passengers that can ride on a vehicle includes any characters traveling on the vehicle.
- The length of a vehicle determines how far it can be found on sensors. The longer a vehicle is, the farther
away it can be when detected. Each sensor also adds +5 viewable units to a vehicle's line of sight.
- Vehicle counter measures attempt to block sensors of another vehicle. The more counter measures a vehicle
has, the more likely it is that the vehicle will not be seen. Counter measures work best at far distances and their
effects decrease as the two vehicles approach each other.
- Note that each vehicle type has some terrain restrictions that it cannot drive on. Repulsorlifts have no restrictions
and can fly anywhere. Ground vehicles cannot traverse swamp, ocean, gas, or volcano terrains. Amphibian vehicles
cannot cross volcano, desert, jungle, forest, mountain, rock, or gas terrains. Hovertrains are restricted to buildable
terrain types.
