[ SWUnleashed Rules ] { The Galaxy }
A- Planets/Moon Attributes
|
- Planets and moons have several attributes that set them apart from stars and other spacial bodies. They have atmospheres
and climates. They can also have aquatic facilities underneath ocean terrains.
- Each planet has a distinct terrain assortment. A planet can have one terrain or several types. See the Terrain Rules
for more information about terrains.
- Planet atmopheres include no atmosphere, light, toxic, poisonous, mildly poisonous, gaseous, and breathable.
Special equipment is required to survive in hostile atmospheres. Atmospheres considered hostile include: no atmosphere,
poisonous, toxic, and mildly toxic.
- Planet climates include temperate, hot, cold, searing, subarctic, and none. Searing, subarctic, and no climates require
special equipment to survive in.
|
B- Planet Grids
|
- Each planet consists of a square grid, ranging from 3x3 to 15x15 units. Each grid unit its one terrain square and maybe
contain one city each.
- Determining planetary coordinates is as simple as giving your x-coordinate and your y-coordinate in this fashion: (x, y).
- Multiple characters or vehicles can occupy one square of a planet at any given time; in fact, there is no limit to how
many can fit in one square. However, cities take up one square each and no two cities can be built on the same square of
a planet at the same time.
|
C- Line of Sight
|
- A character can view 1 units around him or her while viewing the planetary screen. A vehicle can view 2 units
around it with +1 unit per sensor.
- The Perception skill increases the viewable area of a character by 1 square per two skill levels. Thus, a
character with a level 4 perception skill can view up to 3 units around him or her.
- Buildings, planetside ships, and vehicles obstruct the view of a character. Thus, a character's line of sight in a
direction extends only as far as the closest object in sight in that direcction.
|
D- Planetary Travel
|
- Roads are essential for any populated planet. Roads cut down travel time by one half, whether walking or driving
a speeder. Roads cost 100 credits to build, and can be built on any terrain that can hold a building.
- A player or droid can move across one sector (25 units) in one hour. Roads will cut this time in half and vehicles
will hasten travel. Certain terrains will cause increased travel time for walking and driving a vehicle (repulsorlifts
excluded). For more information on terrains, read the Terrain Rules.
- Vehicle speeds vary based on vehicle type and size. Vehicles travel in squares per hour (s/h). A vehicle's speed
is determined by this chart:
