[ SWUnleashed Rules ] { The Galaxy }
A- Coordinates of Space
|
- Coordinates of Space: The galaxy is composed of 1001x1001 squares (-500 to 500), and each square is composed of
21x21 (-10 to 10) squares.
- Each location in space is divided into X and Y coordinates, from -500 to 500. Systems are similarily divided
into X and Y coordinates from -10 to 10.
- When referring to a point in a system, the format would look like: (XXX ,YYY; xx, yy). The galaxy coordinates
are first while the system coordinates are second.

B- Occupying Space
|
- Entering Systems: When a ship enters a system, it will enter along the outer edge. The pilot will then have to
plot a course for a planet, station, or another point in the system.
- Orbiting Planets: A ship or orbital facility is in orbit around a planet if it is within one system unit of
that planet. You must be in orbit to scan a planet.
- Oribital Facilities: Any station that orbits a planet will appear on same square as the unit. This includes both
orbital and sub-orbital facilities.
- Deep Space Facilities: Outposts and space stations can be on any unit. They each take up a full system unit. Only
one facility is allowed to occupy each system unit at a time. For more information on orbital facilities, see the
Orbital Facilities Rules.
- Fleets: A fleet, no matter how many ships it contains, takes up one system unit. The fleet must be orbiting
a planet before it is able to attack it, and must be in the same system unit as an orbital facility in order to attack it.

C- Spacial Bodies
|
- There are four categories of bodies: stars, planets, moons, and spacial bodies.
- As far as stars go, there are seven different kinds: yellow stars, white dwarfs, red giants, blue giants, black holes,
pulsars, and neutron stars. Stars cannot be build upon or within 1 square around them. Any ships entering the same location
as a star will be destroyed.
- There are ten basic types of planets- temperate, rock, molten rock, gas giant, forest, snow, swamp, desert, ocean, and
city. Planets may have moons and orbital and suborbital facilities. Planets can also have an atmosphere and climate.
For more information on planets, see the Planets Rules.
- Moons are miniature planets. They may be of the same types, atmospheres, and climates that a planet may be, and are
able to be built upon. Orbital and suborbital facilities may be built around moons.
- There are three types of general spacial bodies- comet or comet cluster, asteroid field, or space debris. These
bodies may contain raw materials in them and can be built upon for mining.
